Hijacked?? It has everything to do with Valve. All of my points were
poignant and conveniently avoided.

That is essentially true but irrelevant. My point is that technology
is only a part of the game. It's a very important part but still only
a part. For instance nobody would deny that Half-Life II is
technologically superior to the original Half-Life. But I contest that
the original game is better. It's more inventive, the pacing is
better, the story is better and it's just more fun. These are factors
that do not require any hardware, anti-aliasing, HDR or any other
acronyms.
If you're going to ignore my points and wave your topic-police badge
around like some kind of deranged crossing gaurd that's fine, but you
should move on to every other adjacent thread as well. You have a lot
of work ahead of you. Valve has used Steam incorrectly and they must
pay.
