Andrew. For gaming, you really need a 20" or bigger LCD screen. And a native
resolution of 1600x1200 (or higher) only because it scales down well to
lesser resoltions of same ratio (4:3). I play games (including lots of
flight sims as you know) and have to bump down to 1024x768 for some, and it
looks spectacular on my Dell 2001FP. But I play it on my 15" LCD, I'd take a
CRT over that any day. But that 15" is adequate for the occasional LAN
gaming get together.
Iiyama make good stuff, but now so do Samsung and BenQ. And don't rule out
Dell either. Despite their shabby PC performance, their monitors are good
stuff.
