That's a very good reason.

I'm increasingly torn. With a good Mitsubishi 19" CRT and a very
well reviewed Iiyama 17" side by side I'm still convinced CRT is
superior for gaming. But I hope that more recent (top end) screen
technology will have significantly improved contrast, brightness,
and viewing angle issues.

Also LCDs use a lot less electricity, which will become increasingly
important.
