"Slor",
I've begun gathering up bootdisks from a number of different sources
in an effort to put together a one-stop archive for as many systems as
possible. These have not yet been properly organized/credited, but
there are already a number of DOS bootdisks (both in .img and .exe
format) here: http://boot.oldos.net/ From the names, you should have
a decent idea what to try out - hope they help.
Also there is www.bootdisk.com (if you put the plural form you will be
directed to a different site with pop-ups). Be aware that I found a harmless
bug in the Command Interpreter for W9x: It makes the "Environment" size 1024
bytes bigger than specified. I don't remember the results when I tested the
NT/W2K/XP side.

Thansk for all the help. Got the system done, running dos 6.22. Chased
down the sound blaster drivers, cd drivers and mouse drivers. It now
runs the Nintendo emultor really nice.

Now I am waiting on 2 SNES controllers I got on ebay, when I get them I
will rewire them to simulate pressing keys on the keyboard (will patch
them directly into the pc keyboard).

Can you do that? Are the SNES controllers analog or digital?

I will be making a new inside for the controllers that will contain the
same lines that are used on the keyboard for the cursor pad and 4 other
keys. I have had practice rewiring PC keyboards by creating new boards
for my TS1000 computer. The SNES only has 12 on/off switches in a
controller, 4 for direction, The A, B, X, Y, Start and select keys.

Since yesterday I have also installed a Nintendo emulator and a Atari
2600 emulator. So now this 120mhz pc runs the Atari2600 (with 500+
games), a Nintendo (with 130+ games) and a Super Nintendo with 30+
games.

I also ordered on ebay a vga to tv convertor that plugs into the vga
out and then allows you to use either RCA or Svideo connections on the
TV. Max resolution is 640x480, but the games are all set to use 320 x
200 so it should work really well. I'll run the sound from teh sond
card directly to the TV also.

Only thing I want to add is a video card that has video out (TV, svideo
etc) so I can use a television instead of monitor for the games. Has
anyone had any success using one of these cards in DOS mode? Failing
that, I could get a vga to svideo convertor.

None that I've ever heard of. The "best" thing I can think of were some
of the older external VGA to TV converters, meant to be used for
presentations, that patched in between any video card out and a monitor.
The AITech model I had would only do 640x480 mode and required Win 3.x
drivers - nothing for DOS. I had an old TV tuner ISA card that would
work in Win 3.x as well but no DOS support. But even that didn't have a
video out option.
