I am attempting to complete some tasks on the AS400 that require new to

administrator, but he does not have access to those items, either. I
have access to everything (*ALLOBJ, *SECOFR, etc), but I cannot get to
the items I need in Navigator. How do we go about enabling these
options?
NOTE: The previous admin may have never used iSeries Navigator, so that
is probably the reason no one now has an permissions to anything.
What iSeries Navigator functions are available are determined at
install time. Most likely when iSeries Access was installed the
"Typical" option was selected instead of "Custom".
You can install additional features from your install media using the
"Selective Setup" icon from your IBM iSeries Access icon group on the
windows start menu. Keep in mind that if you add additional components
you'll want to re-run your service pack install as well.
