You only get the licenced programs save is you do a SAVLICPGM, SAVSYS
or an entire system save (Go SAVE opt 21) only the latter of these is
likely to be in your archive of backup, these types of save are
typically taken 1 - 4 times per year, try to find one an issue the
RSTLICPGM or go LICPGM option 11.
But don't worry if you can find these, instead look for the IBM
software CDs (or possibly tapes) that shipped with the server, the
licensed programs can be lifted from these in the same way as mentioned
above, you are then supposed to appy PTFs but if you only want the odd
thing then don't worry.
Good Luck
In short get searching for media.

I know very little about the AS400, our company actually stopped backing up
this AS400 in 2002, now all of a sudden we need the source on this
server..Guess who is in charge of getting everything back. I restored the
system from a 2002 backup and everything was there with the exception of PDM
and RPG. I went to LICPGM and tried to do a restore of 5763RG1 and 5763PW1,
of course it wasn't on the backup tape. Is there anyway I can get hits
application onto this server?
(I already tried using a backup tape from another site, the restore worked
but the user was unable to see the source)
And we have no more backup tapes
HELP!!!!!
Thanks in advance.
