Re: Found no partitions during initial setup - can't IPL the server



We followed procedure for partitioning the preinstalled server and succeed.

Now we have some problems about connecting 5250 emulator console from HMC to
iSeries.

If we stop everything, then plug everything out of the power source, and
plug back and start everything then 5250 works. If we only make restart from
HMC without powering off the server, when partition goes up we can't connect
with 5250 emulator to the partition.

It says 0023 on the bottom of the 5250 screen.

Also - when we turn off the server, HMC blocks out, and we have to wait 5
minutes for screen to refresh so we can turn off the HMC or start the
iSeries again.
