Hello,

in SASM syntax it is possibel to code

GOVLNG (#+)+5

for example.

But using this in MASD gives an error by the compiler
ERROR: Unmatched ')' in expression *** 0 GOVLNG (#+)+5

Sombody knows how the SASM syntax can be used in MASD in Debug4x ?

TIA

Hello Andreas,

I hope you get a helpful response to this post.  I noticed your Jun
16, 4:09 pm
post 'Debug4x: Using a global label from the *.S RPL source file in
the *.H
Include file Options' did not elicit any response.  I unfortunately
cannot help
you with this but it does seem very interesting to me especially
because I
took a semester of C programming in college and I have been using HP
calculators since 1990.  My latest purchase was the 49g+ when it first
came
out.  I haven't used it to any significant degree but just this week
the F3 key
began to float.  I used my 48gx in the field, 40 hours/week for five
years before
I sent it to HP because it was dying - severe screen problems, I
think.  They sent
me a brand new replacement.  Anyway, I never had any key problems with
that
calculator.  I wish someone would write a college-style textbook with
concept
maps, screenshots, and all the other goodies found in a good, although
expensive, book regarding system and assembly programming for HP
calculators.
Nowadays you can publish a small quantity of books without having to
go
through a major publisher.  Best of luck with your programming!

Regards,

Mark

A final thought - I really don't like the limitations and lack
of options of the text editor used in this forum. I made the lines
too wide in my last post and you see how chopped-up they appear.
I think Bill Markwick once commented the max line length is 60
characters. Okay, so I can't count! Can't we get a better text
editor for this forum, like the one they have at forum.codecall.net/ ?
.
