How can I get all of the objects out of the emulator and onto the PC
in a way that I can bring it all into an IDE.
My goal is to retain the directory structure, etc. It would take a
VERY long time to paste each piece into the stack and send it to the
PC.
If you transfer over the parent directory then all the child directories
and variables will come with it. The only time this won't work is if the
whole thing is too big to fit in memory in one go (alongside the
original). Everything will then be restored when copied into the emulator.
I haven't used the emulator for a while so I'm not sure how well it
copes with understanding the ascii translation business that goes on or
whether you need to extract as binary. Have a go and report back if you
can't get it to go and I'll try and dig up and old post where this has
been asked before.

It is way too big to fit in a real 48GXs memory twice. The Emulator
says, "ERROR: Insufficient Memory."
Thanks for the suggestion.
An update; I hooked an HP48GX up to a PC and did a transfer, but the
information comes out jumbled together. For instance, the objects in
the home folder were each placed in individual text files, but the
down side is that the folders and their entire contents each ended up
as one file as well. So where I was expecting to see about 50 files
littered through about 12 folders/sub-folders I ended up with 8 files
and no (sub)folders.
