I need a German manual for my HP 48S.
Gee, considering the replies,
next time I visit Germany and ask directions,
I expect to be told to go buy myself a map, or a GPS.
I don't know where to find a German 48S manual, either
(nor even an English one), but it's sure encouraging
to know that it *could* be found :)
http://h41111.www4.hp.com/calculators/de/de/graphing/48gII/index.html
leads to downloadable PDF manuals in German for the 48Gii;
the 48Gii has changed a lot from the original 48S,
but everything that the original 48S can do,
the 48Gii can still do (almost :)
Complete set of downloadable English (sorry) scanned manuals
for 48G series (much closer to 48S, just leave a few things out :)

48SX Owner's Manuals [English] Index (if you ever find manuals)

How about for 48G in French or Spanish instead?
