Differences between Xmodem and Kermit

I only have one HP49g+ so I can't play around to figure these things
out.
With the old HP48 when transmission is set to IR the baud rate is set
to 2400 by default.
So is there a default baud rate for the HP49g+?
Suppose I want to set up two HP50g's so I transmit data from one to
the other using kermit and IR like this:
Transmitter: <<-33 SF 'x' SEND FINISH>>
Receiver: << -33 SF SERVER>>
Do I need to specify the Baud rate?
What would be equivalent to the above using XMODEM? I know about
XSEND and XSERVER, But how about FINISH?
Any other useful information on the subject would be appreciated
Thanks
Luis
