There exist only one official ROM that the HP50G ships with (2.08), so
bugs are being fixed, but HP surely can't ship with beta ROMs (2.09).
But you can download that beta ROM and upgrade your product in two
minutes.
Even TI takes more than a week to release a new ROM when a bug is
reported, right? The current TI89 Titanium also ships with numerous
known bugs. Why are they still shipping defective products?
and that if I exchange a virtually new but faulty calculator, I
may get one back that is much older and quite beat up. I am not
willing to endure such customer abuse but some people are and that
amazes me. I don't understand it.
That I do not understand either. It would never fly here in Denmark.
Customers are much worse off in the States than in Europe.
