The older versions of TDS and SMI software can be made to run on the
50G, however it is likely illegal. The programs are written in SysRPL,
and presumably stick to supported entries. So theoretically you could
decompile them and recompile them on the 50G. Of course, the hardware
has changed, so you would still need to edit the communications portion
of the software, too.
In summary, yes it is capable, but you are much better off (mentally
and legally) just buying software for the 50G.
