Didn't I notice in one of the posts here, that HP 50 out of the box

One older 49G+ bug may momentarily have been replaced with another,
but since an all-inclusive official ROM update (2.09/92)
for both 49G+ and 50G is on the HP site already,
that seems a moot point.

The modification date of the *official* latest 2.09 49G+/50G ROM update
(file "4950_92.bin" in its currently downloadable zip file)
is actually June 3, which may well pre-date the first 50G shipments
to dealers; you may have seen that there's some bureaucracy within HP
which puts a bit of inertia into the rollout process,
even though the engineering folks had a perfectly good ROM
which just didn't get into those first boxes!

But since everyone gets a fine USB cable and has a computer
with internet access (or at least you do),
all has been caught up with, and no one has yet written
about any bugs in the June 3 ROM version (which is 2.09/92)

So, Jacek, you can now update your ROM and be happy!

John. My 50 is still in transit from Samson Cables so I will wait a
little bit :-) The reason I bought it of course is that I'm big fan of
HP calcs and also because I happen to own 49G+ with first generation
keyboard :-)
