Will [a new Filer] defrag the SD card?
Isn't an SD card entirely virtual anyway?
"Contiguous" virtual blocks may not really be so physically,
but what does it matter, since it is electronic and not mechanical?
(sure, there is an extra directory entry per extent to read or write,
but that's pretty low overhead).
One thing an SD card has but the standard Filer doesn't recognize
is time-stamping; this could enable sorting by date and time,
which has no analog in original user or other port memory
(the calc does time-stamp newly stored SD files).
Long file name support is currently present for storing a file to SD,
but not for displaying file names or copying files (copying a "long"
variable name to an SD card attaches the "long" name to the new card file,
as seen by Windows, but displaying in Filer or copying from SD
back to user memory uses only the "8.3" form of the file name).
