Upgrading the ROM from SD

I recently tried to upgrade the ROM from an 16 meg SD card. To do that
I formatted the card to FAT using Windows XP and then copied the .bin
and update scp files to the card.
When I tried to do the upgrade on the HP49g+ it reported "No Card",
when I used the Filer to check the card, it did apear in the Tree but
showing 0 Bytes content, but when I looked inside the card the ROM
files were there.
When I repeat the process but this time formatting the card using the
calculator no problem.

What's wrong?

Thanks

Luis
