updating the 49g+ to rev 2.0



I bought a used hp49g+ from a college student (sn CN40206656 Version
HP49-C revision #1.23). Keystrokes are occasionally missed. I do not
have an SD card.

Other forum members have mentioned difficulty in upgrading via the usb
port.

Has the later hp connectivity software made this upgrade via the usb
port workable?

Is there anything I should do first before trying the upgrade?
