Is your DTC the only 10MBit item on a 100MBit network?
Is it still using COAX to an old hub and not the AUI port?
Perhaps you need to convert it off the COAX and switch to the AUI and
put a transceiver.

Subject: [HP3000-L] DTC problem?
Hello List,
We just had a second occurance of a problem with all terminals
connected to our DTC 48. Running an A400 under 7.5 with a network
card for PC's connection. However, we still have about 8 dumb
terminals connected to a DTC48. Mid day - terminals in use for data
entry since morning - suddenly no connection to the HP3000. Cannot
break - no command prompt.
Sessions are still running, according to SHOWJOB. From the main
console - I ran TERMDSM.DIAG.SYS. Reset the DTC after a DUmp -
received a message about File(s) downloaded to the DTC - now all
terminals are back in operation.
My question - does this mean that the DTC itself may be going bad?
It is, after all - about 17 years old!
Thank you,
Connie
