Is the TZ variable set system-wide?
The SHOWCLKS command indicates it is properly set for the user executing the command.
However, it needs to be set system-wide (presumably with a system logon udc either directly via udc or indirectly via command file) for ALL users to be appropriately affected by it.
I had earlier stated:
You should be able to test this by first running the program without, then with the TZ variable set.
This should read:
You can test this by running the program after first setting the TZ variable appropriately, then running again after setting TZ to " ".

Greetings,
I'm running a COBOL program that prompts for a date in MMDDYY format.
This program is running inside a scheduled job, so we're using MPEX to
supply
the date. The date prompt is answered with
this...{CDATE(DATEADD(TODAY,0,0,1),'MMDDYY')}...
But the date returned is "tomorrow".
I streamed that job this morning, 3/26/07, and the returned date was
032707.
When I run SHOWCLKS.PUBXL.TELESUP, this is what I see...

*** Greenwich Mean Time : MON, MAR 26, 2007, 7:17 PM
*** GMT/MPE offset : -7:00:00
*** MPE System Time : MON, MAR 26, 2007, 12:17 PM
*************************************************************
**** C Library Information ****
Current value of Time Zone(TZ) variable : PST8PDT
CTIME function return : Mon Mar 26 12:17:22 2007
I can run the application with TODAY-1, but I'd also like to figure out
what's going on.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Ernie
