Re: HP3000-917LX Another Disc Drive Question

Thanks to everyone who responded.

My only reason for even considering Fast & Wide drives was because it would
let me put 36 GB
drives in my system, thus giving me 4 times the amount of disc space I have
right now (theoretically, at least).

However, I think I will be looking at just replacing my current 9GB drives
with the standard SE 50 pin 18GB
drives. This will save me a lot of heartaches as I am in no way any kind of
electrician, electronics guru, hardware techie etc., and don't even pretend to
be.
