If you are going to use a DTC for serial communications between
locations/buildings, someone should mention that using DTCs will
require bridged (instead of routed) network traffic between the two
buildings. While this will work, it has some disadvantages for
network management. It is also uncommon. It may be difficult to
figure our how to set it up.
