Re: HP Laserjet paper reuse

Bob J says:
Paper gets heated when it passes through the LaserJet's
fuser. The heating causes the paper to lose some of its
moisture content. Since the paper loses water it becomes
slightly smaller, slightly stiffer, and drier. You won't
damage anything by re-using the paper but you should be aware
that its characteristics have been changed so it might not
perform exactly the same as fresh paper. You can experience
paper feed problems such as jamming and variations in fusing
and toner density over the page. The difference will be too
small to matter in most cases with blank paper.

I suppose that explains the paper curl on our 2430 after more than a few
sheets.

(Didn't used to do that on our that it replaced 5n, I suppose the fuser
is hotter on a 2430 than it used is on a 5n, or other older models.)

Either that or our paper is moister than it used to be.
