Does anyone know of any problems with the ONLINE STORE option.Michel,
We kick users off of our N class box to do backups but would like to take
advantage of the ONLINE capability of the STORE command (we own the right
s to use it) in order to minimize downtime.

The traditional problem is, a user works on a database transaction. If the database is not locked totaly but only the database files that he/she uses one by one you may backup partial transactions.
Example:
file 1 has a name table
file 2 has an address table
file 3 has a cityname table
file 4 has a zipcode table
Now a user is adding a new person while the store runs
The name is on disk
The address is writen to disk at store time
The cityname and zipcode or not writen to disk yet.
So your backup has a broken database record.
