Re: Update Sql Server 2000 database from the HP3000

P.S. As per other posts we tend to use ODBC drivers - We have a cobol
program that prepares updates for a SQL database and a VB program that
collects those updates via ODBC every 10 or so seconds. Thus we
essentially update the SQL database at the same time as the main
database on the HP - the users don't notice the small delay.

IT depends upon whether you simply want to create a snap-shot of the
original database (use DTS) or whether you want to update the SQL
Database as a result of other updates on the HP.

Subject: [HP3000-L] Update Sql Server 2000 database from the HP3000

Hi All,

Is there a product that will allow a COBOL program to call subroutines
that will update an Sql Server database?

I am trying to get info on a product called SqlLink3000 but have not
received any. Also, I want to know of other products that are out
there.

Thanks,
