Dave,
It basically gives me the "string-o-zeros" that means "no boot device found".
I tried another DDS3 to no avail... then a HP-UX box galantly gave of itself, (a couple of hard drives and a DDS2), now the box boots.
Does the 957 support a DDS 3 as a boot device?

What message are you getting? What tape drive are you using? Have you
opened it up and checked the cards and re-seated them?
