HP Pavillion NX9420 Cant install xp cant recover paritition

Hi there i recently bought a new HP and wanted to clear the the
recovery paritition off so i could use all the disk space.

this is what is did


Made a ghost backup of of everything on the drive 1st, then created the
new partition and formatting, erasing all the recovery area

after this im unable to get any OS to install. i have a feeling this
is something to do with erasing the recovery partition

after installing windows xp it refuses to boot up (installed from the
xp pro disks not recovery)


the only back of the recovery partition ive got is the ghost version.
which doesnt seem to go back on

So the situation is ive got a blank HD, cant install windows xp and
cant restore the recoveryy partition
