For Windows 98 ???? 98 ???? If you found them, they must be off in some
wormhole on the HP web site. If one does the logical thing by putting "DeskJet
812C" into the HP web site's search and searching for downloads, one ends up at
a page saying that HP no longer provides drivers for Windows 95/98/ME. In
other words, the drivers appear to have been removed from the web site. I'm
sure that the cost savings of having a few megabytes less on the web site must
be huge. Or maybe Bill Gate$ or $teve Ballmer twisted the arms of someone at
HP. Personally, I have no love for 95/98/ME any more, but I can understand why
some financially impaired people still want to run these DOS-based versions of
Windows... Ben Myers

According to the HP site, they stopped hosting Windows 98 drivers in
July. Where can I download the Deskjet 812C driver?
I need to install a second printer on a win98 system, but the option for
the DeskJet 812C does not appear in the list when I try to add a
printer, and I can't find the CD. This is odd, because I have a
different configuration for this printer installed with the proper
driver. Shouldn't that make it appear in the list?
Alternately, is there a trick I can use to copy the existing 812C
configuration so I can set up another one with different default
settings?
www.driverguide.com
or Google for deskjet 812c win98
or share your printer on the network, browse network neighboorhood and
locate your own computer, double click on the printer share, and install
the network version of the printer (picking up the driver from the host -
your own driver that is).
I didn't have any problem finding DeskJet 812C drivers on the HP site.
