Just trying to get a little help. I said that because I was already
feeling
I had made a mistake.

It's interesting to see the others argue over semantics. But, to be
honest, I'll never buy another HP because of the very issues they're
talking about.
Sales 101: If you exclude a minority for service on a product you
built; that minority will not buy from you again and spread the word.
Exponentially, the minority becomes the majority and your business
shuts down. If this happens in this way, all the "I'm sorry's" in
the world won't help. Neither will planting stories in the press, as
this is an inward out expansion. Just ask Sony, they'll tell you all
about it. In short, never intentionally screw
anybody!
If a tiny piece of support web space has to be removed due to cost,
HP's already done...
I too, don't want to see HP go away, anymore then I want Intel to go
away. It's too bad they don't use their own products. The stuff
would be there then...
I'm very lucky I found my original restore disks for my four year old
notebook. I was able to lift the drivers off of that.
But, never another HP or Compaq to anyone I know. I might be the
minority you're talking about, but that statement effected at least
40 total sales the won't take place at HP. And; anyone those people
know as well. This is what I mean by exponentially, it can't be
reversed. Like a restaurant, I give them one chance with my money.
One chance only...
Yeah, I'm just one guy, who everyone he knows happens to go to for
computer advice. Sorry HP!
White box is by far, the best way to go anyway. No useless garbage on
your computer and No India to call!..
