Have a problem with the LCD/Monitor and believe it is related to a wire
running through a hinge.
Laptop is a HP Pavilion xh555 running updated XP Home. Has a AMD Athlon
processor on a HP N/A OmniBook N32N-736 Board.
The display distorts when the lid/LCD is opened more than 45°, but returns
to normal if it is returned to a position below that angle.
If attached to a external monitor it works great with no problems.
According to local computer tech person the wire itself is frayed and they
recommended replacing the wire.
They described it as the "wire wrapped with black tape that is located on
the right side, not the tan one".
Anyone know what wire this would be?
What is the part number?
Where can I get one from; preferably with a guarantee?
Thanks for any help offered. Fran
