DIN plug, 8-pin. [...]
IMPORTANT: This is a DIN41524 type ("262-degree") plug where
pins 7 and 8 are "out of circle". On the more common DIN45326
type ("270-degree") plug, the seven outer pins form a circle, which
is mechanically incompatible!

So make sure you know _exactly_ what you need, whichever
company you order this special plug from.
(I assume you want this plug for a Commodore monitor cable.)

If Andy obtains the wrong 8 pin DIN plug for use in the C64 audio /
video port, then Ray Carlsen suggests that pins 7 & 8 be removed from
the plug. The schematic for the a / v port shows that there is no
connection for pins 7 & 8. At least that's what can be done for C64
a / v 8 pin DIN ports in the USA.
Ive found a spare cable with the normal 8 pin arrangment. I will remove the two top pins and see how I go.
Will post results here.
