Hmmm, the 5670. I will have to double-check when I get home. I wrote to
Teac asking for some jumpersettings for a 235J (forget which revision), they
quickly wrote back and said that drive has been discontinued for years so
they do not have that information. Yet, they have it for other revisions in
the FD-235J family; which I have if you like - just not sure if it is 5670.
I'll look at mine tonight.
Using a 2.88 Teac drive is a 1581 is just.... Wrong. There are so many
other models that would fit the bill so much better.
My FD-4000 was acting up, so I got another Teac FD-235J and swapped
controller boards and all is fine again. Now, if I can only find reliable
and cheap ED disks. Got a bunch but they seem to have a high failure rate.
