Geez, then use a PDA or a computer for freak sake.
Then it is free! In many cases. You pay for text messaging. Email is free
with exception of internet ISP fees but still that's cheap when you can go
to a college or various locations and get on the WiFi and log onto the net
and still for free and send email. Why use a phone for text? I use a phone
to TALK!
Yes that is what I do as well. But for many a phone is easier(?) to use
than a computer. I suppose it is convenient if you want to send a
message quickly (if you are a long ways away from your computer) and
without everyone around your listening in (or the person you are sending
to can't pick up the phone but can look at the screen for the same
reasons). But still entering a text message on a normal phone is a real
annoyance (not to mention a challenge in dexterity).
But I guess to each their own.....
Oh I thought of another type of person that loves text
messaging....teens. They can "pass notes in class" more likely without
the teacher ever knowing.
