power supply feet

I have successfully restored the mechanical and electronic functions
of my CMD hard drive and power supply. Here is an image of the bottom
of my hard drive power supply.

Click on the thumbnail of a young Gabby Hayes and then click on the
thumbnail then the larger image of the PS image.

Aside from protecting the furniture finish, does the PS need the
rubber feet?
