while I agree that it is doubtful that C64's were *used* in space
probes,
NASA apparently did use them, when I was in high school a friend had a
chance to go to Huntsville space camp, there were large #'s of 64's
and pets there donated by Commodore, one of the instructors commented
that they were the same machines that NASA had in their crew
recreation areas.
