I have an opinion: Don't knock other people's religions.

My reasoning is a bit long-winded, so I'll try to shorten it for you as much as possible.

Simply put: If you respect other people's religions, then they might respect you. They probably won't, but others might. (hint)

You are not an atheist. Why? Because, the word 'atheist' is a christian word which means, 'the practice of not believing in god.'

I don't know about you, but I don't thank a non-god for everything I have, and I don't accuse a non-god for what I don't have, and I don't pray to a non-god every day or even on sundays.

Get it?

An atheist is the same as an unbeliever, which when translated to arabic, means 'infidel'. We are infidels. Simply put, eh?

It is a terrible word, and the arabic meaning crossed back into christianity as the word 'infidelity'. It was used this way to mean that a person is 'untrue', and is used in divorce court all of the time. :)

Not that I'm untrue or anything, but the meaning itself puts fear into the uneducated and is one of the many ways that christians use to make some people hate other people.

Which brings me to my point.

You need to respect people of religion. It is the only thing that can get you ahead in life. It's ok to meet people like that 'Lott' fellow halfway, but it's not ok to rail against others who don't try to make you one of them.

Get it?

Educated people have had to do this for many centuries. Why can't you? A few didn't succeed, like Galileo, and he was a christian!

Some day, in the future, people will finally figure out that religion is a barrier to peace.
