They used to make serial printers years ago. Not sure exactly, but I imagine
they needed a slightly different pinout/wiring than an rs232 cable. Or the
interface needed to do some kind of translation to interface one of em to
the 64. At least I dont think those interfaces are capable of connecting to
a LPT/centronix type of printer.. At any rate, those switches are for a
printer and should only be used if you're connecting a printer to it :)
I've got both the omnitronix and aprotek rs232 interfaces, but I dont think
I have the docs for either :(
The normal/inverted switch should be for how to deal with the carrier
signal.
