OK, so if the NTSC/PAL setting is a register to modify, can the kernal
rom (which is presumably stored in flash) be changed to modify said
register on boot so a PAL v2 DTV converted to NTSC?
This is of course assuming there's no convenient PCB jumper or link to
resolder and easily change the video mode setting.
Also, how can the flash be reprogrammed? Can a running c64 program
reprogram the flash or must it be reprogrammed via some sort of
external interface? And is the flash recoverable from flashing errors
etc when things go wrong midway thru the flash? ;-)
