|I have a third unit laying here, bare mech. There is a plate with a screw.
|Under this plate is the terminators and the firmware jumpers. Assuming you

My Falcon/CT60 is in a tower case and I have terminator where the SCSI
chain comes out the back of the case so termination on the drive
hasn't been required. You've now identified the firmware jumpers which
I'll also leave well alone. That just leaves a third set but you'd
need to take the metal casing off to get to them. I'll try and take
mine appart this weekend.
|There is a hole near this plate which exposes the SCSI ID setting. I'm not
|sure how my settings here will help you. This drive is not in use and the
|ID is not even set. If your manual at least explains the one visible set of
|jumpers, then that is really all you need.
I'd worked out the ID settings, changing it from 1/2 to 5/6.

|I'd remove all 3 icons, then force the desktop to reinstall them. Maybe the
|extra icon is unrelated or it got there some other way? If all 3 icons
|reappear, something is for sure working strangely. At least with most
|desktops, once you have saved the desktop arrange, all the icons will reload
|the same way on every boot up. Meaning, if you swap the drive, do not
|expect the extra icon to just vanish, you probably have to manually remove
|it. I don't use magic, so my statements are based on my MiNT setup.
I've done some reorganising when I added a 10Gb drive and then later
repartitioned my original 2.1Gb drive down from 6 partitions to 3. I
also swapped over my card readers. Each time it came back with three
icons even after deleting them. On the software side I upgraded from
MagiC 6.01 to 6.2 and HDDriver 8.04 to 8.16.

|I went to the Canon site and obtained the manual in English. It infers the
|SD card from the camera is readable on a PC or MAC simply via a "card
|reader" and an adapter may be required. So in theory it should work and one
|can assume it is stored in some standard format if these OS's can read it.
Thanks for the manual. Looks like I've got a lot of printing to do!
I'm less worried about the three icons more about why the card isn't
recognised. I'll have to recheck my system to see if I've got anything
set up wrong.
