Alternatively, it may be possible to boot without the hard drive
switched on, then start it afterwards. You should have your HD
software disk in A:\ and run the installer again - or just the HD
driver, then put a new C:\ icon on the desktop. This /may/ allow
you to access the partition to remove LGD.

Note that ACCs do *not* belong in the AUTO folder, but the root
directory of C:\! Possibly that's causing the problem?
