Okay, I'll concede that point as far as cost goes. However, think
along these lines, I'm not here because of cost. I'm not here because
platform x does something better or cheaper than platform y or even z.
I'm here because I love Atari. Especially my Falcon. If it was all about
cost, I would stick with my 3 comp Linux LAN & laptop, and never do
anything with Atari hardware/software.
Its love of the machines, the community, and pure old nostalgia. :-)

Its a hobby to me. Its that "for the love of" concept. The best times I've
ever had, computing wise, was with Atari. I still have more fun, and get a
better sense of achievement when I do things with my Atari's than I do
with anything else. I was simply overjoyed when I was able to get my BBS
online, available for Atari users world-wide once again. I could have
done it (easier/cheaper) with a Linux BBS, but it wouldn't have been the
same. I really, really like Linux a lot, for example, but its -just- not
the same. I don't do "windows" at all. Never have. Never will. Atari
(MINT) was my stepping stone into the Linux world. Just something else I
have to thank Atari for.
So many memories...its a good fight, just keeping them alive. :-)
See ya Richard!
