Congratulations! You've got BASIC working.

Oh, and that means you've also got the OS working.

what does 130 mean. i have tried SAVE"D1:WORLD.BAS" every which way
but NOTHING works.

error 130 is 'unknown device'.
it means you don't have DOS loaded at bootup.
(DOS disk operating system).
You don't have a 'D:' device handler, because you haven't
loaded DOS.
To load DOS, you need to "put a disk in drive 1", using the menu items with
the emulator.
The disk you put in is called an image, with a .ATR
extender on the end, eg. MYDOS453.ATR or
FRE32G.ATR or DOS25.ATR.
You can get a DOS image at the Holmes archive at
www.langesite.com/atari/holmes and search for
DOS images.
