Not strictly accurate; it is possible (not easily) to peek in
page zero for program pointers and dump a block of
memory to a group of sectors with the resident disk
handler so you can reboot with DOS, reload the memory,
reset the pointers and then save it to a DOS file. I did it
years ago and it was a royal pain.
JessI don't see that. Even if you use SIO calls from assembler code done in
BASIC USR calls, you still don't have the D: handler to save it to a DOS
file. You're really way out here, not doubting you, the OP asked for a
simple answer. Where'd you get the DOS.SYS to dump to sectors on a disk?
Are you suggesting the sector dumps of OMNIMON? I'm sure you did it, but it
would take a lot more description of how to answer the question.
It really depends on the emulator. For atari++, the emulator comes with
its DOS
(no DOS.SYS needed), and H: and D: are always present. You can just fire
up the emulator and are ready to load and save files.
So long,

thomas,
can you explain in simple language HOW i can SAVE or re LOAD the
program to my disk?
if i program.....10 print"leo"
20 goto 10
what is the exact next line i write to SAVE this?
