Interesting

The only thing is i lack the hardware and cables to hook my IIgs upto
the Mac (or router even). the LC 475 has a Ethernet card but i lack
any serial cables to hook up to the IIgs. and i don't have Ethernet
on the IIgs.

that ideal sounds great if i had the proper hardware and cables.

The simplest cable would be an mini din-8 to mini din-8 printer cable,
hooked up to the printer ports on both the Mac and the GS.

Or, you could get two of the LocalTalk Adapters from here:

<http://gbennett.whsites.net/zencart/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=5_6&products_id=181>

and a cable:

<http://gbennett.whsites.net/zencart/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=5_6&products_id=181>

Or from here being that the first location only has one in stock:

<http://www.worldofcables.com/store/viewItem.asp?idProduct=1716>

And you'd be set.

Or you can get the phonenet adapters for less cost and use a standard
RJ-11 phone cable (needs to be 4 wires), but the phonenet adapters may
not come with the needed terminator and you might have to build one
yourself. (The localtalk box self-terminates.)
