Not hard, I go on WoW all the time, and there's an overlap which is
convenient.

e.g. Australian Eastern Standard Time UTC+10 (where Katoomba is) is
between 12 - 16 hours ahead of Americans, meaning, there's a good 3-4
hours in American late afternoon that overlaps with Australian
mornings 9am - 12pm (we're one day ahead).

I wouldn't call it a "hand-off" period, but there's certainly a
possibly of a video conference that we can run across, if only we can
find a willing party that will allow us to attach to their broadband
network, and we should be able to communicate via iChat Video
Conference or something.
