I've been trying to improve my proficiency using my IIGS and System

another Rom 3.
While working away with it, today (trying to get the icons I wanted to
display to display the way I wanted them!), I am sure I read somewhere
that there is a way to get "clean up" to arrange icons within the width
of the window that is open. Sometimes when you have a crowd of icons
and the window is three icons wide, "clean up" will array them four or
five wide.
Now, I am sure that I read that, but when I go back to the System 6.0.1
"What's New" and "Shortcut" files, I don't find mention of it. I don't
see it in Jerry Kindall's "The System 6 Book" either.
Did I just imagine it, or misunderstand something else I read?
Is there a way to do this?

Rich,
You got me curious with your post so I fired up both Sweet 16 and my
ROM 01 GS to see if I could find what you were talking about. What I
found is that if you hold down both the Option Key and the Apple Key
and then click on the Special Menu "Clean Up" has changed to "Clean Up
By Name" which will alphabetize the files in the open window and
rearrange them to fit in the window, whatever width it is.
Hope that was what you were looking for,
Dean
