I wouldn't hesitate to take a 26 pin ribbon and connect it right to
the card, like the ribbon on a CMS or RAMFast, and then a DB25 male to
male straight and give it a shot. Since the connectors are labeled
modem/printer, like the other A2 cards before and after this one,
instead of DIP switches, it's move the cable instead.
The printer, go straight from Pin 1 to Pin 1 on a centronics crimp on
like the Grappler Plus uses.
The printers were 36 pin, but nearly every card used 26 pins or less.
Some had as few as 16. Shared all the grounds. but 26 pin IDC to
crimp down ribbon is the simplest from a manufacturing standpoint.
Everything can be made straight with no cutting, flipping, eliminating
of cable leads, etc.
ok ill give it a try.
what im trying to do is see if i can use this card instead of the
super serial card to run adtpro. audio transfers are just to slow.
Somehow, I doubt that will work. ADTPro uses the SSC down at the
"metal" level, and a multifunction card is very unlikely to be
accessed in the same way--or even have a 6551 UART, perhaps.
SSC's are widely available for less than the price of a cable,
so that really seems like the best way to go.
