Neat way to generate video (sort of Apple related)



While surfing the web, I came across some references to generating
both B&w and Color video with a PIC. It seems that most references
lead back to some work done by Rickard Gunee. It seems his web site is
either down or gone entirely. Here is a Wayback Machine cache of his
original method of generating a B&W signal, used to write a Pong game.

Later, Rickard used a faster chip to generate color (cached by another
site).

While this isn't directly Apple related, the genius of the method
reminded me of how Woz did the video for the Apple, using a few common
parts and lots of software. This is the modern version :-) Creating
video with a single PIC is just too incredibly cool!
