Lance's Late, Useless Communications Environment .. as it was often
referred to when it was vaporware.

Come to think of that, I'm not even convinced it's still not
vaporware. Does it even exist? Did anyone ever setup a BBS? Never saw
a segment of code for it, a command reference, nada. Nothing.

TC may have raised some heckels with MACOS, but at least he did
something with it. The improvements were phenomenal. The distribution
method may have left a bit to be desired, but after all the screaming
and commotion, ACOS still didn't improve. Ironic in some ways.


I sold it because I do not have the time to deal with supporting it, which was the reason I bought it from Lance in the first place, but that was over 10 years ago. It needs some hard code work for the date and maybe some update to allow it to network direct on the net. Over the years I owned it I had several offers to either buy it or distribute it, but never went through with it, thinking I would find time to deal with what had to be done, but after retiring I found that my part time work was turning into full time with a lot of traveling overseas for long stretches.

I sold it to Kevin since he had invested in it with Lance and he also owned the rights to EXfer which works with GBBS.

As far as LLUCE, it is for real, I had the code disks and had looked it, but it was real raw that I did not want to deal with it, plus I was working on improving GBBS. I still have my code and have made changes to it to work better, I included that with the disks given to Kevin.

With a little luck he might start selling it in time. I have not spoken to him since we did the deal since I left for an overseas job and am really busy with it right now. Well it is time for me to get some sleep since where I'm at it is night.
