NadaNet uses annunciator 1 and PB 1 for output and input.
There is a Parallel port on the laser... I wonder if I could
recompile
nadanet to use Data Bit0 and the ?handshake? line for output/input
It depends on whether the handshake line is a readable level or
just a strobe for a latch.
If the input can be read as the high bit of an I/O location and
the output can be set or reset by a single I/O reference, then
modifying NadaNet to use new I/O is as simple as changing two
equates and reassembling.
(Although I haven't verified that two bytes is enough "context",
it may also be as simple as searching for the two 2-byte addresses
and modifying them in memory. ;-)
I have 4 of these lasers. Built in 5.25 drives, have 1 slot, built
in serial and parallel ports..
I'm going to bring one out of storage and play with it..
Cool!
