I just picked up an Apple /// from a friend (it's HEAVY!), and tried
ADT. I had to build a frankencable from various pieces, as the DB25
coming out of the /// is female. (Personal problem; just has to do
with what connectors I happen to have on hand.) Anyway, on to the
solution:

Connect the /// to your host computer. You must use a null modem
cable.
Boot the /// with the II emulation diskette. Leave the defaults as
they are.
Put the ADT disk in drive 1; hit enter to boot it.
Go to ADT's setup screen and choose SSC slot 7.
Match the baud rate to the host server - and you're ready to go!

Excellent - thanks for verifying! Good to know I'll have a backup for
transfers in case my ][+ goes on the fritz; just need to get a null
modem adapter.

What revision of /// did you pick up?
